What works today

You can compare 36 structured destination records, open coordinate references and official sources, prepare gear and contact notes, and save trip records in the current browser.

Editorial approach

Every destination links to a responsible authority or official tourism source and includes a last editorial review date. Changing rules and approximate route facts are labelled instead of presented as live or falsely precise.

Local data and privacy

Trips, emergency contacts, gear selections, medical notes, and review drafts remain in this browser. TrailDesk does not encrypt them. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to view them.

Records do not synchronize automatically. Clearing site data removes them, and changing devices does not transfer them. Export important trip records before clearing browser data, and avoid recording medical detail that your plan does not genuinely need.

Security and scale

The public catalogue is statically generated and uses no account or submission backend. That keeps the current attack surface small. Authentication, server storage, review publication, moderation, audit history, rate limiting, and encrypted transport for private records are required before TrailDesk can safely add shared accounts.

Safety boundary

TrailDesk does not provide certified navigation, offline map tiles, weather verification, live tracking, emergency alerts, guide services, permits, bookings, or rescue response. Confirm current conditions and carry appropriate independent systems.
